The Cookie Policy describes the data we collect on our website through cookies. The collection, as well as the processing of the data, which is collected through cookies, is regulated by the ePrivacy Directive, soon to be replaced by the ePrivacy Regulation

The Privacy Policy concerns all other personal information that is collected without the use of cookies. The collection and processing of these data is regulated by the General Data Protection Regulation as implemented in Denmark

1. Cookie Policy


1.1. Introduction

When you visit a Geomatic website, we collect information about you, which is used to adapt and improve the content of, as well as to increase the value of the sites you use on our website. If you do not wish us to collect this information, you should delete your cookies. In paragraph 1.3, you will find a guide that describes how you can, completely or partially, avoid receiving cookies, and how you can delete the ones that might already be attached to you.

1.2. Storage of cookies

Some cookies are deleted as soon as you leave our website, while others are stored longer. Most cookies have a lifetime of 12-24 months. Every time you visit our website, this period is extended.

1.4. How we use cookies

We use cookies to provide our website users with the best possible experience as well as for marketing purposes.

When you visit Geomatic’s website, we collect information for analytical purposes. We analyse your device and adapt the website design accordingly, so that you for instance get a mobile adapted site, when you visit our website on your phone, we remember your login information on our product platforms, we also analyse the length of your visit and other information, which improves your experience and provides us with the knowledge necessary to adapt and improve our sites’ content and design.

We use Google Analytics, which places cookies with the purpose of creating statistics about the use of the website, but not the user itself. We place cookies that describe whether your browser can show JavaScript or not. We also use Google Analytics to collect statistics about user behaviour as well as to observe if our content performs as intended.

Moreover, we use cookies for marketing purposes.

We use cookies from partners (Third-Party cookies). We use anonymised data in our analysis, but the third parties may also have collected personally identifiable data.

2. Privacy policy


2.1. General

Personal data is all kinds of information, which to some extent can be attributed to you specifically. When you use our website, we collect and process various kinds of such information. It happens, for instance, with normal interaction with content, if you subscribe to our newsletter, register as a user or subscriber, or otherwise use our services.


We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet, or phone, your IP-address, geographical location, as well as which sites you click on with regards to our website.


To the extent that you explicitly give your consent hereto, and you yourself enter the information, we furthermore process the following: Name, phone number, email, company address, as well as payment information with regards to CVR and EAN number. This will typically be the case with the creation of a login or when buying different services.


2.2. Personal information

Geomatic never collects personal information proactively. Only in cases where you have explicitly given us your information, for instance through subscription of our newsletter, registering on one of our product platforms etc., do we process personal information.


Your personal information is solely used to carry through the service for which the information has been registered in connection with. Moreover, personal information is never disclosed or passed on to any Third-Parties by Geomatic, unless you have explicitly given your consent hereto.


2.3. Data processing

Geomatic processes public available data such as teledata, property data, and industry data etc.


Based on the publicly available data, Geomatic creates statistics that are used in connection with our customer projects, consequently allowing our customers to meet their obligations as well as comply with existing regulations (e.g. credit evaluations etc.), similarly to optimisation of marketing.


Likewise, statistical data from Statistics Denmark is purchased.


Our segmentation tool conzoom® is based upon open data as well as statistical data from above mentioned sources.


In contrast, personal data is exclusively processed according to the instructions provided from our customers in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation as implemented in Denmark. 


2.4. Protection of personal information

Your personal information is legally obliged to be stored securely and confidentially. We store your personal information on secure and certified IT-systems with restricted access, which is placed in controlled facilities in Denmark. Our security measures are controlled on an ongoing basis to determine, if your user information is handled responsibly and follows your rights as a user.


In cases of data transfer, we are using secured FTP-servers. This is done to best possibly prevent any unauthorised users to gain access to the information, when the data is sent and stored electronically. Data is always encrypted when sent.


2.5. Security

We have made technical and organisational measures against your information, by accident or illegally, being deleted, published, lost, reduced in quality, or comes to the knowledge of unauthorised persons, the information being misused, or in other ways being processed in conflict with existing regulations.


2.6. Purpose

Personal information is used to identify you as a user to provide the services that you have requested like e.g. a newsletter subscription. Besides this, we use the information to optimise our services and content.


2.7. Period of storage

The information is stored in the period of time allowed by the existing regulations, and we delete the information, when it is no longer needed for the purpose of which it was collected. The period of time is dependent upon the character of the information and the reason for storing it. It is therefore not possible to specify an exact timeframe within which the information will be deleted.


Personal information, such as name and email etc., is only disclosed and passed on in cases where you have given your explicit consent hereto. We only use data processors from the EU, or countries which have been approved by the EU and can guarantee your information sufficient protection.


2.8. Inspection and complaints

You have the right to know which personal information, we process about you. Moreover, you can at any point in time make objections against the way the information is used. You can also withdraw your consent to allow information about you to be processed. If the information that is processed about you, with which Geomatic is responsible, is wrong, you have the right to correct or delete it.
